Celebrate coffee with Ahrre Maros! In-Person
A perfect day to learn all about coffee! September 30 is in-between National Coffee Day on September 29 and International Coffee Day on October 1. Ahrre Maros will offer a talk on various aspects of Coffee. He will discuss the many factors that affect the flavor profile of coffee and offer several tastings to illustrate his points. All participants are guaranteed to leave buzzing with information.
Ahrre Maros is the founder/owner of Ahrre's Coffee Roastery, with a strong online presence and two locations in New Jersey; one in Summit and one in Westfield.
Ahrre was born and raised in Summit, but fell in love with fresh-roasted coffee in his mid-twenties, while living in Berkeley, California. He could never find decent coffee here in Jersey when visiting home so he would bring multiple pounds of coffee with him to enjoy and share with friends. This went on for many years and earned the nickname COFFEEBOY among his friends. Having identified a need here in his home state and extreme pressure from his Eastern-European parents to find a REAL JOB, Ahrre decided to move back to NJ and start a coffee business. He went to work for his favorite coffee store in Berkeley (Peets), took a business class, wrote a business plan, borrowed large sums of money from everyone he knew and finally, the first location of Ahrre's Coffee Roastery opened in Cranford one week after his 30th birthday in February 1990. Ahrre has been sourcing, roasting and selling coffee ever since.
