Visual Arts for Seniors In-Person
In this workshop, local artist Alicia Cotter will teach you how to create a 10"x10" mixed media painting on a wood panel. You will paint an image on the panel using acrylic paint, in addition to painting and printing paper that will be incorporated into your artwork. The painting will be filled in by applying decorative paper and old book pages. These paintings can be as realistic or abstract as you desire!
Workshops are intended for seniors (ages 65+) with little or no artistic experience.
Each workshop will be self-contained and requires separate registration. Students may take the workshop multiple times, depending on demand. Registration will open exactly two weeks prior to the workshop.
Made possible by funds from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Additional funding provided by the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library.
Presented in partnership by the Westfield Art Association, Lifelong Westfield, the Westfield Regional Health Department, and the Westfield Memorial Library.
