Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation In-Person

This 6-week meditation series is an invitation to pause and quiet the mind in a supportive and inclusive environment. It is suitable for adults with no prior meditation experience. Each class will include a talk on a topic of mindfulness followed by a guided meditation and group discussion.

We will explore practices to use in daily life, to cultivate mindful awareness of the body, breath, thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness practices can help foster care and kindness in relationship to one’s self and others. Participants will learn techniques to establish their own continuing mindfulness meditation practice.

We will meet six on Thursdays from 4pm - 5:30pm. Registration is required for the 6-week series
5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, 6/13
