Stained Glass Workshop for Kids In-Person
In this hands-on workshop, kids 7 and over, with the help of a grown up, will explore the art of making stained glass. By wrapping pieces of colored glass in copper tape and soldering them together, participants can create beautiful colorful stained glass designs to be hung in a window or worn as pendants. This workshop involves high temperature soldering irons which participants will learn how to use under supervision.
Instructor Brett Ricard is Co-director of Beam Camp, where he started working at 15 years oldas the dishwasher. Since then, he has been a part of the Beam Universe in many capacities from chef to counselor, and finally co-director. He enjoys teaching people how to make beautiful creations, and then how to bring them to life through theatre. Beam Camp, located in new Hampshire, is a camp for 9-17 year-olds with a fully equipped woodshop, metal shop, fabrication lab, and an arts and craft barn ready for ceramics, sewing, and painting. A large scale installation is created at camp each summer.
Please respect the age 7 minimum age requirement, and register both a child and one grown-up, who will attend with the child.
