The Social Dilemma: Film Screening & Community Conversation In-Person

What are the consequences of our growing dependence on social media? As digital platforms increasingly become a lifeline to stay connected, Silicon Valley insiders reveal how social media is reprogramming civilization by exposing what’s hiding on the other side of your screen. Come and watch this (2020) documentary-drama hybrid that explores the dangerous human impact of social networking, with tech experts sounding the alarm on their own creations.

How have these technologies impacted you? After the film you are invited to stay for a judgment-free community conversation.

The Social Dilemma is rated PG-13. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent.

Members of Wait Until 8th Westfield--an organization that empowers parents to rally together to delay giving children a smartphone until the end of 8th grade, and social media until age 16--will be available should you have any questions about the Wait Until 8th pledge, and device alternatives that avoid many of the distractions and dangers of the smartphone.
