Watch Shen Rosen, our Sixth Artist in Residence, during Studio Hours
At a table in the front entrance to the library, you can watch Shen Rosen create her artwork. Shen is is a 21-year-old artist from Westfield, now based in Plainfield, whose work uses painting as a way to process and express deeply felt emotions. Her paintings emerge from a visceral, pre-verbal space, transforming lived experience into raw visual form. Her artwork will be up in the hallway opposite the Meeting Room and around the library from June 1st to the end of July.
During Shen's residency, she will be creating artwork on-site, planning workshops and sharing her artistic expression with the community. Sign up for Adult Painting class on Monday, June 29 from 6-8pm, and sign up your children (grades 4-6) for an Art Class on Saturday, July 11 from 10-11am. Class size limited to 12; don't wait!
