Meet Joy Luo, our first Maker-in-Residence in the Makerspace In-Person
During this session, Joy will talk about the project she has been pursuing during her residency. Learn about her problem solving process and ask questions about her work and expertise during this Q&A event.
Joy Luo is an engineering student at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) and back home in New Jersey for this summer. She recently completed her Dual Degree undergraduate program, obtaining a BA in Economics with a minor in Physics from Oberlin College and a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Robotics from WashU. Joy is staying at WashU to pursue her Master's in Aerospace Engineering starting in the fall.
Joy's interests lie in the intersection of the space industry and other emerging technologies with business and entrepreneurship. She is passionate about innovation with purpose, particularly with a focus on progress that translates into meaningful, positive impact on society. Outside of classes, Joy enjoys playing music, hiking, photography, Muay Thai, and trying all the food spots she has saved on her Beli.
