2026 Artist in Resident Cohort: August/September

Studio Sessions - Live Drawing Demos: Pen Sketching, Pencil Sketching, Cross Hatching Techniques

In this demo I will be going over shapes, lines, circles, squares and figures and how we can use these to create people, faces, shapes, and things. Cross hatching, line weight and different sketching techniques will be discussed.

Lamont, the 7th Artist-in-Residence to serve at Westfield Memorial Library, will exhibit his work from August 1 to September 30.

Lamont is a graphic artist and illustrator based out of Union County New Jersey. Graduating from Linden High School with honors in 2006, Lamont decided to pursue the intimate career path of fine arts and illustration by attending such institutions as Union County College. Continuing to follow his passions in the arts Lamont has been involved in the fashion industry - working with brands such as Stylus Apparel, Kill Brand LA. Lamont's artwork has been seen on platforms such as Hypebeast, High Snobiety and XXL. over the last several years Lamont has participated heavily in Newark Arts by way of RyArMo Photography Studios, Yendor LLC and now STEAM Urban.
