Darshana: A Glimpse Into the Hindu Civilization In-Person
The event, which is the first in the Westfield Library Series: Sharing our Stories, is a collaboration between the Town of Westfield Human Relations Advisory Commission (HRAC) and the Westfield Memorial Library.
The day will begin at 10:00am with a storytime for children, followed by opening remarks by Mayor Shelley Brindle at 10:30am.
The focus of the day will be on Hindu culture, including traditions, festivals, symbols, and values. In addition, there will be presentations on yoga, life purpose, divinity, sacred texts, Sewa (service), and Ayurveda (herbal medicine).
Light Indian snacks will be provided, and children are invited to participate in coloring and rangoli (a traditional art form) activities.
All Westfield residents are encouraged to attend. Registration is required.
